Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Zscaler Engineer to join the team. This remote position is ideal for a self-motivated and reliable individual who excels in working both independently and as part of a distributed team. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network security posture using the Zscaler ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot client access issues, utilizing URL Categories and Cloud App Policies.
  • Analyze PCAP files to identify and resolve network traffic issues for clients.
  • Configure GRE/IPSEC tunnels to meet client requirements effectively.
  • Deploy source IP anchoring within client environments.
  • Query log data and analyze it to diagnose client issues.
  • Provide strong troubleshooting solutions and manage customer interactions professionally.
  • Understand and implement modern authentication frameworks and platforms, such as SAML, SCIM, Entra ID, etc.
  • Have a practical understanding of common Internet protocols, including HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, FTP, etc.


Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with the Zscaler ecosystem.
  • Zscaler Certifications such as ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA, ZCCP-IA, or ZCCP-PA are highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security, including firewalls, VPN, web proxies, and email security.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for security task automation.
  • Demonstrated skills in deploying Zscaler solutions in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex networks and identify security risks.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with technology and security trends.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certifications like CISSP, CCNP, CCIE are a plus.
